News Feed

Overview

The news feed is the central screen of GGMA Squawk. It displays a scrolling list of headlines delivered in real time, each tagged with a category label and timestamp.

On the web app, the news feed is accessible via the navigation bar at the top, which includes the following sections:

• Breaking News
• Global Overview
• Chats
• Markets
• Calendar
• Research
• Macro & Financial Indicators

On the iPhone app, the bottom navigation bar has three tabs:

• News — The main news feed
• Chats — Your conversations
• Profile — Your account settings

News Categories

Each headline is tagged with a category (e.g. #Equity, #Policymaker, #World Events, #Technical) so you can quickly identify what type of news it is. Headlines are sourced from the Livesquawk service and are marked with the LIVESQUAWK label.

Breaking News

The Breaking News section (web app) highlights the most urgent, market-moving headlines. Check this section for time-sensitive developments that may require immediate attention.

Global Overview

The Global Overview section (web app) provides a summary view of market conditions across regions and asset classes, giving you a quick snapshot of what is happening globally.

Expanding Headlines

Some headlines in the news feed have an expandable chevron next to them. Tap or click this to expand the headline and see the full details of the story.
