Chats

GGMA Squawk includes a built-in messaging system that lets you communicate with other users and the GGMA team.

Direct Chats

Direct chats are private, one-on-one conversations. These may be set up by the GGMA team (e.g. when you first join) or initiated by users.

To access your chats:

If a new chat has been created for you but does not appear immediately, try closing and reopening the app.

Discussion Forum

The Discussion Forum is a group chat where multiple users can share insights, discuss market developments, and exchange ideas in real time. It works like a group chat room where all participants can see and respond to messages.

To join the Discussion Forum, contact the GGMA team — you may need to be invited.

Live Sessions

GGMA offers Live Sessions — real-time interactive sessions where you can connect directly with the GGMA team. To request a Live Session:

  1. Open your direct chat with the GGMA team.
  2. Send a message asking to schedule a Live Session.
  3. The GGMA team will start the session at an agreed time.

Sending Messages

  1. Open a chat (direct or Discussion Forum).
  2. Type your message in the Message… field at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Tap/click the send button (arrow icon) to send your message.

Attachments

You can attach files and images to your chat messages:

  1. In the chat, tap/click the attachment icon (paperclip) next to the message field.
  2. Select the file or image you want to share.
  3. Send your message.

Editing Messages

You can edit messages you have already sent:

  1. Find the message you want to edit.
  2. Tap/click the three-dot menu () on your message.
  3. Select Edit and modify your text.
  4. Save your changes.

Offline Mode & Message Storage

The GGMA Squawk app stores the last 100 messages locally on your device. This means:
